We couldn’t be more thankful for the absolute PARTY Cody provided us. As huge music lovers, we wanted to make sure our reception felt like a big party, and the dance floor filled all night. Cody exceeded our expectations, and our guests told us that it was the best wedding dance floor they’ve been on in a very long time. 

He was open to everything we wanted to hear, included a Taylor Swift section requested by the bride, but we also trusted in him to keep the vibes high all night long. If a song wasn’t working, his experience really showed as he was able to mix on the spot and change up the vibe to keep the crowd on the dance floor.

Cody uses an app that allows you to curate the sound of your day, every step of the way. The app is very user friendly, allows you to search for music within it, and can even suggest “must plays” and “do not play”. The app helps both Cody and the customer to set the tone for the vibe they want through various points of the event, and allows the vision come to life.

We picked different genres for various points of our special day, and ultimately left the reception playlist in his very capable hands. Cody engaged with our guests as they made song requests, and made sure to get them into the rotation.

Cody’s equipment is very versatile, and he can move his sound wherever he needed. He set up speakers outside for our ceremony, back inside for our cocktail hour and reception. Cody also brought some lighting for the dance floor which added to the atmosphere. Once we turned out the lights in the venue, the dance floor really turned up!

DJ Cody Priest is a true professional. He DJ’d our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and didn’t miss a beat! Communication with Cody was stress-free and completely personalized.  He made an effort to get to know us and bring our vision to life.  His use of the Vibo app made song selection easy, with built-in recommendations for every part of the evening.  His upbeat song choices and custom mashups kept everyone out on the dance floor! He has a strong ability to read the room and knew exactly what the crowd wanted to hear.  He kept the energy high until the very last song and everyone was blown away by the amazing vibe he maintained all night.  I’m so thrilled Cody was our DJ and I would highly recommend DJ Cody Priest for your wedding! 

Cody was SO fantastic! He did our wedding and everyone said how much they loved the music he played! He also was gracious enough to MC for us and did a great job, he was able to set the tone for a fun night and everyone had a blast! He was also super accommodating leading up to the event and extremely nice and helpful! He used the VIBO app to help plan the wedding which is very user friendly. DJ Cody Priest is truly phenomenal! In addition to throwing unforgettable parties for wedding couples, one of my favourite things about him is how he takes the time to get to know each couple and tailor his services perfectly for their day! He embraces every request, has such a warm and welcoming presence and goes above and beyond to accommodate the couple and their guests. I always know there will be a full dance floor when DJ Cody Priest is providing the soundtrack!

Would absolutely recommend DJ Cody Priest. Very professional setup and presentation, excellent mixing of music (no sudden stops or starts eliminating dead air between songs) and was very on point with volume control. We never complained about it being too loud or not loud enough. He had his equipment “equalized” perfectly. Some dj’s have the treble or the mids cranked and it sounds like ice picks are attacking your ear drums, none of this here.

We can’t recommend DJ Cody Priest highly enough  and would like to thank him for his professionalism and making our daughters wedding reception one to remember.

Cody did an amazing job at our wedding reception. There was such a mixed crowd ages 20-75 and he had something for everyone. The dance floor was full all night! If you need an amazing DJ call Cody!

We couldn’t have been happier with the music and Cody’s DJ services for our wedding! We got lots of compliments from our guests on what a great mix of music it was and he also had some really fun and unique mashups!  Cody was very responsive to email and accommodated all out of our special requests for Shetland folk dancing and highland dancing music.
